A teenager from Northern Ireland has been declared cancer-free, and he is giving God the glory.
Christian Today reports that Josh Martin was diagnosed with a severe case of cancer in his abdomen on Christmas Eve 2014.
Since then, he has undergone multiple surgeries, months of chemotherapy, and long hospital stays. His parents, along with the family’s church, Bangor Elim, launched an online campaign called #prayforjosh in order to raise support for their son.
“[T]housands of people worldwide have joined with us as we prayed for our 14-year-old son,” said Josh’s mother.
Josh said that even though there were moments of doubt, he believed that God could and would heal him. When Josh’s parents got back from the hospital and told him the good news, he said his faith was confirmed.
