The price of a week missed.
So, I missed nearly two weeks of classes at the box. Life happens that way sometimes and there’s not much you can do about it. So yesterday, I finally returned to class and it was my first for the new month (April) and the new quarter.
There are times in your life when you get a feeling in the pit of your stomach that you shouldn’t do something. That perhaps you should pack up and leave an area or maybe even sit out an activity or just flat out refuse a request of some kind. I felt none of that yesterday and as I look over that workout, I’m wondering why my body didn’t raise an alarm or trigger the Spidey senses... alas. 5 o clock came. The coach called us together and then I saw it. Running and burpees. Sigh.
Now you know how much I love running (I don’t). And who doesn’t love burpees? Don't raise your hand, Neil Gill. In fact, if you’ve been following these posts you will know that 2019 appears to be the Year of the Burpee. After the visual pain of reading the workout (lol), I hunkered down and got to work. I'm 50 MB step-ups away from completion but that'll have to happen at some open session next week. For now, I'm glad to have gotten through most of it and I am actually looking forward to the next class.
Wow. I guess I am getting stronger.
See you guys and gals next post.
