In the last days of her life, a hospice patient received comfort from a worker who went above and beyond his duties.
While at the Austinburg Nursing & Rehab Center in Austinburg, OH, Joshua Woodard walked into the room of a patient named Mary and began serenading her. He passionately belted the lyrics to the famous Christian hymn “How Great Thou Art.”
The moment captured on camera, reminiscent to the time a nurse sang for his young patient battling cancer, started gaining traction after the patient’s daughter-in-law posted it on her Facebook page. It was shared more than 6,000 times and received supportive comments from viewers, including one who said the video gave her “goosebumps.” Another agreed, writing, “This sent chills down my spine!
