Burpees and more burpees. 


The year started of pretty much the way it ended for me, with more hard work at my box (a CrossFit gym). 


You’re probably wondering how I got here and what I’m talking about. So let me go back 6 months or so. 

 

I’ve always been a chubby fellow and for a long time I’ve wanted to do better as it regards being in the best shape I can be. So last year, 2018, I decided to follow the advice of two friends (Makonem Hurley & Kiendra Leonce) and sign up for membership at a CrossFit gym. I decided to join LIMITLESSPERFORMANCECROSSFIT for a few reasons. Reason 1 proximity: it was the closest CrossFit gym to me..that I know of any way and reason 2: the first class is 4:30AM. This allows me to get in a class and still order my day. 


So it’s been 6 months so far and according to persons who know me, I’ve made progress but when I look into the mirror I still see a chubby guy 🙈. Lol. 

Fast forward to 2019. The image above was the one class so far that I did not want to do. In fact when my coach wrote it up I wanted to just get into my car and leave but no burpee pain, no burpee gain. So I hunkered down or more aptly laboured down and got through this workout. Truth be told I’m making progress as I feel stronger, my energy levels are up and the weight in some of the workouts doesn’t feel like it’s trying to bury me into the ground. That’s good right?
