Live Gratefully

Hello Everyone, I hope all is well with you and yours. A few years ago I made it a goal to keep a gratitude journal, where I wrote on any given day the thing, event or person I was grateful for. Well you get the idea and it was easy as pie… I wish. After a few days my enthusiasm waned as I realized I had not ever trained my mind to be grateful before. Sounds strange doesn’t it, but it was true, I needed to learn how to be grateful. So I embarked on this journey and it still... read more

Footsteps to the Throne – Psalm 15

Many of us may wonder how we can connect with God. Is God really listening to me, does he really hear? My answer to you is yes...He most certainly does. God loves us so much and He wants to communicate with you daily. Once you have given your life to Jesus and you begin your walk with Him, there are footsteps you can take to enter the Throne Room of God and these are necessary for your growth and development. 1. If you do what is right 2. Tell the truth at all times 3. Love your ... read more

The Prayer

The Last Prayer (St. John 17 vs. 20 – 24) Jesus prayed before He left this earth. He prayed earnestly for himself to be glorified, He prayed for sinners and He prayed for Christians. For Christians He did not pray for riches, wealth, joy or anything like that. He knew you would be able to ask Him for all these things, what He did pray for was unity among the believers. Jesus wanted so much for us to be unified with each other as He is with His Father so that the world will want what we... read more

How do you respond when trouble comes (Job chap 1 & 2)

How do we respond when trouble comes our way? I know that it is not always easy to respond positively when something negative affects us. It is important to know that God is there for us in our good times and also in our bad times. We often ask ourselves sometimes, why has this happened? Haven’t I always been faithful to God? Yes God knows that you are faithful to Him, however to bring you to another level of maturity in Him, he allows circumstances to come our way that produces some... read more

Unwrapping Your Gift

This is the day that the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in It (Psalm 118 vs 24). God has given us a gift it is the gift of today and that is why it is called the present. This little cliché has been around for a sometime and it is so true. Today is truly a gift and the mere fact that you are able to open your eyes to see the beautiful sunrise is wonderful. I want encourage you to look at your days differently and see them as a gift. Unwrap your gift and embrace it with joy and... read more

In the night times of your life keep on trusting God. (Duet 1 vs. 30 - 33)

The Lord says He will fight for you in your night seasons (wilderness experiences); it is not over until God says it is. Today I want to say to you that God’s word declares that He has already gone before you, to find a place for you to pitch your tent. God has already paved the way in your situation, no matter what the situation is. God will prepare the way for you to follow when you do not where to go or what to do. He will guide and lead you to that place, person, thing or word that you... read more

You do what is right and let God fix what is wrong…Psalm 37

Sometimes we go through many trials, persecutions and unfair situations. We find it difficult to be the Christian that God has called us to be. We may find ourselves getting angry and upset over a situation. I encourage you, to do what is right and let God fix what is wrong. You may ask well, what is the right thing to do? To know the difference between the right thing and the wrong thing is to check your motive. If you make decisions out of anger, or if you do things in spite or to get back at ... read more

What do you want?

The bible says in St. John 16 vs. 23 – 24 – Ask and it shall be given unto you that your joy might be full. We do not receive because we do not ask. We tell ourselves that God knows what we want and He will grant us the desires of our hearts. (Psalm 37 vs. 1 -3). While this is true, His Word also tells us that we need to ask. We have nothing because we do not ask for it. Your motive has a lot to do with your asking. So you should ask yourself the question why do I want what I want? If your... read more

The Ability to Forgive

Hello everyone, I have been thinking about forgiveness. I guess it's the effects of the new year which represents new beginnings and the situations I currently face that have currently spilt over in 2015. My thoughts have been about how to forgive people. I am not quick to forgive if someone mash my corns, so to speak, there I've admitted it and I hated to admit that, but if you are honest, so are you. If we are still making plans and goals for the new year, is it your goal to forgive... read more
