Katy Perry Fights Back Against Court Ruling That Her Song Copied Christian Rap Song 'Joyful Noise' 

Pop star Katy Perry and her “Dark Horse” collaborators filed an appeal after a jury ruled them liable for plagiarizing a 2008 Christian rap song.


Perry, Lukasz “Dr. Luke” Gottwald, Capitol Records, and others had been ordered to pay $2.78 million by a California jury for copyright infringement. In documents filed Oct. 9, Perry and her team are asking the California courts to overturn the verdict or grant a new trial.

Former Drug Addict Baptized At Church He Vandalized 6 Months Earlier: 'God Is Real' 

A former drug addict who broke into an Arkansas church and vandalized $100,000 worth of property was baptized at the same church six months later after the pastor and church members displayed grace and forgiveness. 
Brenton Winn, 23, was arrested in February after breaking into Central Baptist Church of Conway, Arkansas, and destroying everything in sight, including laptops, cameras, and other electronics. He also wrote a racial slur on a breakroom wall and set the church’s family life center on fire.

$3,000 ‘Jesus Shoes’ Injected With Holy Water From Jordan River Sell Out In Minutes 

Brooklyn-based brand MSCHF released a limited-edition Nike Air Max 97 sneaker filled with holy water in the soles and the $3,000 "Jesus Shoes" sold out in minutes. 
The sneakers were reportedly injected with 60 ccs of holy water from the Jordan River and blessed by a priest. Gabriel Whaley, the brand's founder, had less than two dozen of the MSCHF x INRI Jesus Shoes made. INRI represents the Latin inscription which translates to "Jesus the Nazarene, King of the Jews.” Each pair was sold for $3,000 and sold out within minutes after the launch.

This weekend, Lauren Daigle made history with her hit song “You Say” by staying put as the No. 1 song on Billboard’s Hot Christian Songs for 62 weeks, according to Fox News. At 62 weeks atop the Billboard’s Hot Christian Songs, “You Say” now holds the record for the longest time a song has stayed in the number one spot on the chart. The previous contender, “Oceans” by Hillsong United, was the inspiration behind the 28-year-old’s success. Oceans sat at number one on the chart for 61 weeks.
