'Persecuted Even After Death': China Bans Christians From Holding Religious Funerals 

Christians across China are prohibited from holding religious funerals for their deceased loved ones as the Communist Party continues to tighten its grip on the regulation of religion and religious activity.
 
Bitter Winter, a magazine documenting human rights and religious freedom abuses in China, reported that authorities throughout the country are enforcing policies that prohibit religious customs and rituals to be used during funerals.

Georgetown Bans ‘Papaya Workshop’ Abortion Demonstration On Campus 

Georgetown University, the oldest Catholic university in the United States, has thwarted a student group’s attempt to hold a first-trimester abortion demonstration on campus.
 
Organized by the New York-based Reproductive Health Access Project, the “Papaya Workshop” features an abortionist who shows students an example of how vacuum aspiration abortions are performed by using a papaya as a uterus model in which the inner pulp and seeds are suctioned out by a suction machine.

Kirk Franklin Shares Powerful 2020 Message As He Battles Depression & Anxiety  

Gospel pioneer Kirk Franklin shared some advice he received for the new year while battling depression and anxiety amid a string of deaths among his friends.
 
"[In] 2019, I experienced a high amount of loss in my life. I went to more funerals in 2019 than I've ever been to in my life. I went to the funerals of friends, the funerals of people's parents and the funeral of people's kids and it was a lot,” the performer took stated on Instagram Friday.
 
Franklin was a support to his pastor, Tony Evans, in the recent loss of his wife, Christian artist TobyMac, who buried his 21-year-old son, and others. The magnitude of loss surrounding Franklin took a toll on him and brought on anxiety.

When God called me into ministry in 2006, that which was once a way of life became a message of hope to people who struggled as I had.
 
I didn't always understand where God was leading me, but through many life experiences, the Lord showed me how he would take my trials and use them to reach both families of those who struggle with homosexuality and the strugglers themselves. The impact of the work of the Spirit was so profound on my life that I began equipping ministry leaders, helping them pastor those struggling people more effectively.

South Korean Pastor’s Babybox Ministry Continues: Saves 250 Babies Each Year 

In July, new media company Asian Boss interviewed a South Korean pastor known for starting a ministry in Seoul to save babies from abandonment and death. Pastor Jong-rak Lee gained immense popularity outside his home country after he installed a "baby box" in the side of his home years ago, after vulnerable parents began to leave their babies on his doorstep. A documentary about Pastor Lee, The Baby Box, was made, and not long after, groups in the United States began similar efforts to install baby drop boxes in various locations.

1,700-year-old Christian Church Uncovered In Ethiopia Sheds New Light On Spread Of Christianity 

The remains of a 1,700-year-old Christian basilica have been uncovered in Ethiopia, giving archaeologists new insight into when Christianity arrived in sub-Saharan Africa.
 
The Roman-style basilica, from the fourth century A.D., was found in Beta Samati, an ancient town that was once part of the Aksumite civilization, according to a paper published in Antiquity. The remains of the 60 feet long, 40 feet wide building dates back to the time when Christianity became the official religion of the Aksumite empire.
